The Seven Deadly Sins (Japanese: 七つの大罪, Hepburn: Nanatsu no Taizai) is a Japanese dream manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It’s been serialized at Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine because October 2012, together with the chapters gathered into thirty-nine tankōbon volumes as of September 17, 2019. The manga comes with a setting like the European Middle Ages, using its titular set of knights symbolizing the seven mortal sins.

The manga has been accredited by Kodansha USA for English book in North America, although the chapters are published digitally by Crunchyroll in over 170 nations since they’re printed in Japan. Netflix obtained the exclusive Language streaming rights to the anime show whilst Funimation now has the home video rights.

The manga won the 39th Kodansha Manga Award for its shōnen class in 2015.


The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of knights in the land of Britannia (ブリタニア, Buritania) who disbanded ten years before for apparently plotting a coup of their Liones Kingdom (リオネス王国, Rionesu Ōkoku), the Holy Knights who sequestered them afterward taking charge in the aftermath of a rebellion that they coordinated.
